Tom Luke Connor was born in 1986. At the age of 16, his dad gave him his first digital camera. A 1.3Mp point and shoot camera, a Samsung Digimax 3000. He experimented with it throughout 6th form college, shooting anything he could; still life, cars, people...
Finishing college unleashed the start of his obsession with photography. He undertook an BTEC Foundation Diploma in Art at Manchester Metropolitan University which further excited his love for photography and began a new obsession with Canon. Toluco purchased his first SLR, making his first real step into the world of photography.
After passing his Foundation course with merit, he was accepted at Leeds Metropolitan University to study Graphic Arts and Design. He spent the three years experimenting with different forms of photography; landscape, still life, macro and portrait, expanding and upgrading his equipment as he learnt with his first photograph being printed in the Leeds Student newspaper in 2007.
May 2008 saw the publication of Toluco's first book entitled "When No One Is Around...". 38 pages of images from his final year project, an experimentation with lighting and fantasy exploring the strange things that happen when no one is around.
In July 2008 he graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with a BA (Hons) degree and is living in Leeds concentrating on expanding his portfolio with the aim to become a professional in the photographic industry.
